Nippur de Lagash 2's Benjamin Navarro quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Hernan Lehen took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Nippur de Lagash 2's Hernan Lehen quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Guillermo Mariano, made in the 8th minute of the game. Guillermo Mariano kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Venezuela's defense didn't have a chance, in the 10th minute, when Casimiro Cordarell scored to the left of an out of position Jonathan Ferrant, making the score, 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Hernan Lehen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nippur de Lagash 2's supporters rose to their feet, but Hernan Lehen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 14th minute, Guillermo Mariano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tito Chayo having to interfere. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. In the 24th minute, Gavino De Mitri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Venegas kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. In the 29th minute, Hernan Lehen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Tito Chayo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 32nd minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant was a little too slow when Casimiro Cordarell got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 36th minute. The score was now 4-0. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Casimiro Cordarell shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Casimiro Cordarell in the 58th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64th minute Patricio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tito Chayo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nippur de Lagash 2 made a substitution. Tobias Uxio replaced Sixto Ariando. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hernan Lehen in the 78th minute of play. In the 79th minute, Casimiro Cordarell ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Hernan Lehen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Hernan Lehen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 85 minutes into the match, Casimiro Cordarell had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Casimiro Cordarell was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. 89 minutes into the match, Casimiro Cordarell notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hernan Lehen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nippur de Lagash 2 were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Venezuela for a fine match.
