The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Viktor Lindholm during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 8th minute, Viktor Lindholm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Felix Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a free kick in the 12th minute. Roland Bódi kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. André Luiz Rosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustín Saelices in the 15th minute of play. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Agustín Saelices got free with André Luiz Rosa in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 22 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Roland Bódi came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. André Luiz Rosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 24th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Batéi Félreértés LC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. In the 31st minute Roland Bódi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roland Bódi's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. 39 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Roland Bódi came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Batéi Félreértés LC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Roland Bódi in the 41st minute. A nice corner shot did that Roland Bódi got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. André Luiz Rosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 42nd minute of play. When the match clock showed 44 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Roland Bódi sped through Ecuador's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Roland Bódi to make the kick off. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Roland Bódi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. After 67 played minutes Batéi Félreértés LC got a freekick which was hit by Márton Szuper. After a rather tough play, Batéi Félreértés LC's Bálint Berecz got a free kick in the 69th minute. André Luiz Rosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ecuador reached it. 83 minutes into the match, Batéi Félreértés LC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but André Luiz Rosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Batéi Félreértés LC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Jácint Víg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Batéi Félreértés LC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jácint Víg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Batéi Félreértés LC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
