Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Luís Eduardo dos Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Fred Ferreira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Rei Messi struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Corumbaense F.C.. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Jonathan Venegas hit a great ball. Vânderson Camargo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Fred Ferreira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luiz Fabiano Neto hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. 72 minutes into the match, Corumbaense F.C.'s goalkeeper Luís Eduardo dos Santos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vânderson Camargo went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Luís Eduardo dos Santos made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. Tomas Illescas in the 88thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Luís Eduardo dos Santos, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.
