After a rather tough play, C.S.D Punta Ballena's Laurențiu Dragnea got a free kick in the 17th minute. After 18 played minutes, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Remie Kint came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ecuador reached it. Ecuador's Agustín Saelices got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Remie Kint made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 22nd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Boguslaw Dziedelonis kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Julio Vera. That made the score 1-0 in the 24 minute of play. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Boguslaw Dziedelonis tried to sneak it across the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, C.S.D Punta Ballena's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Remie Kint reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristian Sancho in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Remie Kint prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 33 minutes into the match, C.S.D Punta Ballena's Boguslaw Dziedelonis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Remie Kint took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agustín Saelices, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 39 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Boguslaw Dziedelonis.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Boguslaw Dziedelonis made a kick off. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boguslaw Dziedelonis in the 50th minute of play. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Remie Kint made a huge save. Brion Heyros charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Brion Heyros the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Ecuador booed when C.S.D Punta Ballena was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brion Heyros didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Boguslaw Dziedelonis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. C.S.D Punta Ballena made a substitution. Terciero Francos replaced Boguslaw Dziedelonis. 67 minutes into the match, Terciero Francos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Terciero Francos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. C.S.D Punta Ballena made a substitution. Manolo Agriano replaced Franz Hyld. Remie Kint made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 74th minute. After 77 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Remie Kint was left in no man's land by his defense there! Felix Montenegro made in the 80th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Daniel Zorita however managed to control. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remie Kint having to interfere. C.S.D Punta Ballena's Remie Kint proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save C.S.D Punta Ballena from getting a goal against them. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Terciero Francos in the 86th minute of play. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Terciero Francos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 87 played minutes C.S.D Punta Ballena got a freekick which was hit by Fabrício Cunha. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Terciero Francos in the 89th minute of play. 94 minutes into the game, Terciero Francos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The C.S.D Punta Ballena players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
