An unexpectedly hard shot by Sermet Tacal in the 14th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sermet Tacal, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Telmo Valadares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 20th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Patricio Costa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Telmo Valadares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 24 played minutes Lupere FC - DMZ got a freekick which was hit by João de Sousa. In the 31st match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Mariano to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Fabrício Jardel tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sermet Tacal in the 41st minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner ended in Laerte Torres almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant did a great save. Guillermo Mariano kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. After 53 minutes of play, Lupere FC - DMZ's Sermet Tacal made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sermet Tacal in the 57th minute of play. Patricio Costa struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Telmo Valadares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. In the 66th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Mariano to maneuver through the defense. In the 72nd minute, Laerte Torres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 80th minute, Sermet Tacal made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Guillermo Mariano made in the 83rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Tomas Illescas immediately put the ball in play. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sermet Tacal in the 85th minute of play. Patricio Costa hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. After having played for 88 minutes, Sermet Tacal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lupere FC - DMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sermet Tacal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 89th minute, Sermet Tacal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Sermet Tacal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Lupere FC - DMZ fans cheered their team off the field, for while Venezuela had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
