The True storY fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pahom Nikiforov should have stopped the shot. 9 minutes into the match, True storY's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Pahom Nikiforov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pahom Nikiforov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Saelices in the 10th minute of the match. In the 12th match minute, True storY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Milosz Bartocha to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Ecuador booed when True storY was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emil Kostadinov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pahom Nikiforov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mai Li Cheng in the 24th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mai Li Cheng got free with Julio Vera in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emil Kostadinov in the 33rd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pahom Nikiforov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustín Saelices, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. In the 37th minute of the match True storY got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Maadan Lăcătuș ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Maadan Lăcătuș almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ecuador's Julio Vera did a great save. Milosz Bartocha kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Pahom Nikiforov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mai Li Cheng in the 51st minute of play. True storY's Pahom Nikiforov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save True storY from getting a goal against them. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 55th minute after True storY's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Pahom Nikiforov quite easily take care of the ball. In the 58th minute Mai Li Cheng shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Pahom Nikiforov in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 61st minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Agustín Saelices managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Daniel Zorita showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. 73 minutes into the match, Mai Li Cheng notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 76th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 79th minute, Mai Li Cheng left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The True storY fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. If Maadan Lăcătuș had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 85 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Pahom Nikiforov. Cristian Sancho showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-3. Pahom Nikiforov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 93rd minute. Agustín Saelices kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Emil Kostadinov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
