A very good chance. 13 minutes into the match, Patricio Costa notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of LEON's Esteban Musko. Esteban Musko was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 18th minute, Ruperto Asur got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Pepe Sand tried to sneak it across the goal line. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ruperto Asur stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute of the game Serafino Gaxan made a throw-in which Javier Tiso played forward. Pepe Sand fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Ceferino Mantzio managed to get in a good position for a shot. LEON's supporters rose to their feet, but Ceferino Mantzio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 62 minutes into the match, LEON's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Esteban Musko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teo Acevedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvestre Mikeldi in the 93rd minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. LEON were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Venezuela for a fine match.
