A collision led to Montevideo City Torque getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Alkestis Papadopulos hit a great ball. 9 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Yves Passot came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Christophe Troxler didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Abram Sarmiento went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 14th minute of play forced Montevideo City Torque's goalkeeper Christophe Troxler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 18 minutes into the game, Axel Montenegro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Christophe Troxler was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 24 minutes into the match, Agustín Álvarez dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Pedro Manzanares, 2-2. Ticho Covarrubias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Pedro Manzanares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Agustín Álvarez took a quick shot and it went in 3-2 without a chance for Pedro Manzanares to make any attempt to save it. 39 minutes into the game, Agustín Álvarez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Pedro Manzanares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alkestis Papadopulos's late challenge caught a Colombia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alkestis Papadopulos helped the player get up and apologised. In the 41st match minute, Montevideo City Torque was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alkestis Papadopulos to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Samuel Navarro hit a great ball. Montevideo City Torque's Reuben Meade got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abram Sarmiento was the one to do the kick off. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guillelme Lomas in the 52nd minute of play. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reuben Meade in the 56th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Abram Sarmiento took a quick shot and it went in 4-3 without a chance for Christophe Troxler to make any attempt to save it. 62 minutes into the game, one of Colombia:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Pedro Manzanares had in the 63rdth minute some difficulties stopping Agustín Álvarez's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Christophe Troxler made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pascual Carballar in the 65th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reuben Meade in the 66th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Colombia made a substitution. Ignacio Mastache replaced Abram Sarmiento. The throw-in from Diego Covarrubias in the 69th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Colombia's Abram Secada. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustín Álvarez, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Agustín Álvarez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Agustín Álvarez put it in 5-3 from a short distance just to the right of Pedro Manzanares. After 82 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Samuel Navarro. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kevin Mastache in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christophe Troxler prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A sloppy throw-in by Ticho Covarrubias in the 88th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Colombia's Pascual Carballar. 94 minutes had been played when some careless play by Colombia's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Agustín Álvarez was slow to take the kick. During this time Montevideo City Torque's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Yves Passot got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Pedro Manzanares quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 95th minute, Colombia's Ignacio Mastache ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Christophe Troxler. Christophe Troxler yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-4. In the 98th minute Agustín Álvarez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There was no doubt that Montevideo City Torque were the better team. Montevideo City Torque's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
