If Lautaro Puig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lautaro Puig charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lautaro Puig the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Lautaro Puig hit a great ball. Raffaelo Ambrogioni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. Fors Melodiae Lumen's Tasso Tegeborg managed to work through Costa Rica's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Tasso Tegeborg dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. 47 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arthur Elisabeth narrowly saved just below the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Axel Tasis to make the kick off. When Paolo Guerreiro came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Fors Melodiae Lumen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paolo Guerreiro couldn't finish the play. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paolo Guerreiro in the 55th minute of the match. Fors Melodiae Lumen were awarded a corner in the 56th minute after Costa Rica's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Paolo Guerreiro took the corner. After taking down the ball on Fors Melodiae Lumen's corner Paolo Guerreiro fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Benito Sanz quite easily take care of the ball. Fors Melodiae Lumen's Arthur Elisabeth proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Fors Melodiae Lumen from getting a goal against them. After 79 minutes, Efrain Moruga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the Fors Melodiae Lumen players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 79 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Efrain Moruga. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dennis Samuelsson went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Axel Tasis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Arthur Elisabeth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 96 minutes of play, Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arthur Elisabeth was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fors Melodiae Lumen's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
