The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 郭笑钢 in the 14th minute of play. 宋康南 could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Benito Sanz made a huge save. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. If 宋康南 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 28 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Ferrant. After a defensive mix-up in ≮亮劍≯ㄨ超越劍ㄨ→BEYOND's zone, Lautaro Puig stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. 俞森朗 came out of the goal and Lautaro Puig tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by 郭笑钢 in the 33rd minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eliseo Noboa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. 俞森朗 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th minute, Eliseo Noboa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 郭笑钢 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Axel Tasis to strike the kick off in the second half. After 66 played minutes ≮亮劍≯ㄨ超越劍ㄨ→BEYOND got a freekick which was hit by 柯默耀. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Eliseo Noboa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Costa Rica's supporters rose to their feet, but Eliseo Noboa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. 俞森朗 breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eliseo Noboa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 81 played minutes ≮亮劍≯ㄨ超越劍ㄨ→BEYOND got a freekick which was hit by 曾景青. After 87th play minutes 宋康南 shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Benito Sanz and just under the crossbar into goal. 92 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when 宋康南 came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of ≮亮劍≯ㄨ超越劍ㄨ→BEYOND booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Moruga didn't get a good kick on the ball. ≮亮劍≯ㄨ超越劍ㄨ→BEYOND's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
