Higino lago was slow to take the kick. During this time Altamora FC's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Altamora FC's corner Higino lago fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Pedro Manzanares quite easily take care of the ball. 8 minutes into the match, Altamora FC's Célio Leite sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Manzanares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Colombia's Pedro Manzanares got control of the ball when Célio Leite tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 14 minutes of play, Altamora FC's Célio Leite made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Thanks to some nice moves Evaristo Cortez could shoot a difficult shot in the 17th minute, which Pedro Manzanares however easily saved by the left post. Axel Montenegro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tiburcio Liher having to make a save. Tiburcio Liher showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Tiburcio Liher showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Montenegro in the 21st minute of the match. The throw-in from Amado Valverde in the 24th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Colombia's Kevin Mastache. If Axel Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Altamora FC's Tiburcio Liher played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Montenegro in the 25th minute of play. Abram Sarmiento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiburcio Liher having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Célio Leite's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Manzanares was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Célio Leite's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Manzanares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Montenegro in the 43rd minute of play forced Altamora FC's goalkeeper Tiburcio Liher to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Célio Leite's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Manzanares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. Tiburcio Liher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Montenegro in the 47th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abram Sarmiento was the one to do the kick off. Abram Sarmiento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Tiburcio Liher tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Altamora FC's Tiburcio Liher proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Altamora FC from getting a goal against them. After 60 minutes Altamora FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Axel Montenegro who took care of the corner kick. Axel Montenegro made a great header on Colombia's corner, it was just that Altamora FC's Tiburcio Liher managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 62nd match minute, Altamora FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amado Valverde to maneuver through the defense. Altamora FC made a substitution. The supporters of Colombia booed when Altamora FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Azenha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Altamora FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 93rd minute, when Ignacio Mastache scored to the left of an out of position Tiburcio Liher, making the score, 2-4. Colombia played a much better game than Altamora FC and deserved their victory. The Altamora FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
