Joakim Vennerlund was slow to take the kick. During this time Ciudad Tao FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Ciudad Tao FC's Salomon Quaade to fire away a dangerous shot which Alfonso Villamarin despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Leones FC's Alfonso Villamarin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osmar Goiano in the 13th minute of play. Evander Zabel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oriol Loyola, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. If Osmar Goiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Evander Zabel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pepillo Servin in the 31st minute of the match. Alfonso Villamarin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Osmar Goiano went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 43 minutes into the match, Leones FC's goal looked a bit too open when Miron Zabel came free, but Alfonso Villamarin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Leones FC's Alfonso Villamarin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jairo Malheiro in the 82nd minute of play. In the 88th minute of the match, Jairo Malheiro got a very nice opportunity to score, but Alfonso Villamarin was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When Ciudad Tao FC's Jairo Malheiro in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With an all-out effort, Ciudad Tao FC's Alfonso Villamarin threw himself towards the right post 93 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ernst Skog, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The Ciudad Tao FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ciudad Tao FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
