Ernest Kleinman who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 17thth minute tested the skills of Joaquin Gayoso when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 23 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Kevin Newman came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kevin Newman's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 36thth minute, Joaquin Gayoso skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 37 minutes into the match, Ernest Kleinman dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Joaquin Gayoso, 3-0. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Maximiliano Escribano got a free kick in the 41st minute. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kevin Newman, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. With a little luck, Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso got control of the ball when Ernest Kleinman tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Maximiliano Escribano came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Uruguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maximiliano Escribano couldn't finish the play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Francisco Seco was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, De Ontembare Leeuwen's goal looked a bit too open when Maximiliano Escribano came free, but Heiko Som reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 53 minutes into the match, Kevin Newman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Uruguay's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kevin Newman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Stefan Popken's late challenge caught a Uruguay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stefan Popken helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to De Ontembare Leeuwen getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Stefan Popken hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Uruguay's Maximiliano Escribano slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Heiko Som. That made the score 4-1 after 61 minutes of play. After 66 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Covarrubias. Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernest Kleinman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 69 played minutes, De Ontembare Leeuwen's Raymond Heersprink shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in De Ontembare Leeuwen reached it. 71 minutes into the match, De Ontembare Leeuwen's Ernest Kleinman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joaquin Gayoso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ernest Kleinman took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joaquin Gayoso. Joaquin Gayoso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. De Ontembare Leeuwen's Kevin Newman got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kevin Newman succeeded in the game's 80th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 6-1. In the 86th minute Kevin Newman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 87th minute of the match De Ontembare Leeuwen got a corner. Uruguay's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Raymond Heersprink ran over to the corner to take the kick. Kevin Carballal kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The De Ontembare Leeuwen fans cheered their team off the field, for while Uruguay had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
