Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moez Bejaoui in the 3rd minute of the match. Anselmo Piccone charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anselmo Piccone the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 4th match minute, FC Medicover was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anselmo Piccone to maneuver through the defense. In the 7th minute, Ivan Lopez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 9th minute, Moez Bejaoui left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Medicover fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ivan Lopez got free with Julio Vera in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Antoni Fujara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 30th minute of the match. Juan Sebastián Puig kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. The supporters of FC Medicover booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Montenegro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, FC Medicover's Ivan Lopez got a free kick in the 40th minute. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antoni Fujara having to interfere. Camilo Gisbert was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 44 minutes into the match. Julio Vera went to the wrong direction when Gianluca Pierdomenico was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Cristian Sancho made the kick off in the second half. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Moez Bejaoui stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Moez Bejaoui tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Moez Bejaoui kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. After 59 played minutes FC Medicover got a freekick which was hit by Miromir Waselewicz. The supporters of FC Medicover booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agustín Saelices didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gianluca Pierdomenico took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 63rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Julio Vera. Ecuador's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Anselmo Piccone hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Primitivo Andino hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. FC Medicover made a substitution. Jaroslaw Wodaszak replaced Bernard Cempa. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Primitivo Andino got a free kick in the 74th minute. FC Medicover's Michal Ochylski was substituted for Ivan Lopez. In the 79th minute FC Medicover were awarded a corner. Gianluca Pierdomenico went to the cornerflag to take it. Moez Bejaoui struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Medicover. Agustín Saelices recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 90 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Antoni Fujara. FC Medicover's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. If Radomir Trzemzalski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The FC Medicover support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
