The wind increased when Tomas Illescas made the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes, Ian Koehler mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Capibaribe Stars and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Capibaribe Stars's Ian Koehler got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nico Penha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nico Penha came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Venezuela's Tomas Illescas. But to his dismay, Tomas Illescas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Tomas Illescas scored 0-6 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nico Penha, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match was over Venezuela could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Capibaribe Stars throughout the match.
