Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Felix Pascua took the kick off in the first half of the match. If Francisco Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Alberto Gisbert hit a great ball. In the 9th minute, Felix Pascua fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Felix Pascua took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Joaquin Gayoso to make any attempt to save it. Alonzo Gipils hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Victor Peres's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 17thth minute, Joaquin Gayoso skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Victor Peres could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Joaquin Gayoso made a huge save. Loja S.C.'s Joel Caton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 26th minute of play. Victor Peres's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Joaquin Gayoso firmly grabbed it by the left post. Victor Peres came free with the goalkeeper in the 27th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Joaquin Gayoso could save by the left post. In the 36th minute, Fabricio Vedeja left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Loja S.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Joaquin Gayoso made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Victor Peres sent off a good shot on target. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Francisco Seco made a kick off. In the 54th match minute, Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Gisbert to maneuver through the defense. Joaquin Gayoso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Felix Pascua went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Peres in the 67th minute of the match. After 68 minutes, Camilo Franco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Uruguay and the Loja S.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Camilo Franco kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Loja S.C. made a substitution. Hidalgo Gallegos replaced Justavino Centeno. After 69 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Franco. Victor Peres's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joaquin Gayoso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Arturo Carvallo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joel Caton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Cazalla in the 76th minute of play. Victor Peres took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joaquin Gayoso. Joaquin Gayoso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Joel Caton made an important save on a dangerous shot by Francisco Seco in the 85th minute. Francisco Seco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Joel Caton made a huge save. Victor Peres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Joaquin Gayoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Peres in the 95th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Uruguay players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Loja S.C..
