The corner ended in Tomas Illescas almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but MarineerS FK's Arnoldo Leicea did a great save. In the 6th minute Cezmi Gök shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, MarineerS FK's John Antolin got a free kick in the 8th minute. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. If Cezmi Gök had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 42 minutes into the game, Venezuela's Patricio Costa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arnoldo Leicea made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Costa in the 45th minute of play forced MarineerS FK's goalkeeper Arnoldo Leicea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The MarineerS FK players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Venezuela were winning 0-1.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cezmi Gök made a kick off. The supporters of MarineerS FK booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Venegas didn't get a good kick on the ball. MarineerS FK's Cezmi Gök got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dinç Tuncay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 60 minutes into the game, Tomas Illescas recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Arnoldo Leicea. Tomas Illescas showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by MarineerS FK's Žydrūnas Pauža. But to his dismay, Žydrūnas Pauža quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Dinç Tuncay made in the 66th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Carl Rundell. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Žydrūnas Pauža in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 71 minutes into the game, MarineerS FK's Žydrūnas Pauža nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. In the 74thth minute of the game Žydrūnas Pauža who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Valentin Rydberg came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the MarineerS FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valentin Rydberg couldn't finish the play. The MarineerS FK fans' excitement grew in the 83rd match minute when MarineerS FK's Valentin Rydberg looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. MarineerS FK's Serafino Modestio was substituted for Kıvanç Balyemez. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Illescas in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arnoldo Leicea saved MarineerS FK from getting behind. The supporters of MarineerS FK booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Žydrūnas Pauža in the 93rd minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 95th minute, Patricio Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. MarineerS FK walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
