With an all-out effort, Colombia's Mehmet Halis Mutlusoy threw himself towards the right post 13 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Kevin Mastache, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Hilmi Uyaralp came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Otomasyon Gençlik F.K. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hilmi Uyaralp couldn't finish the play. But to his dismay, Axel Montenegro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 65th minute of the match Colombia got a corner. Otomasyon Gençlik F.K.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Axel Montenegro ran over to the corner to take the kick. Kevin Mastache made a great header on Colombia's corner, it was just that Otomasyon Gençlik F.K.'s Mehmet Halis Mutlusoy managed to reach the ball for a save. The audience was convinced that Axel Montenegro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mehmet Halis Mutlusoy was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. Otomasyon Gençlik F.K.'s players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
