Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Daniel Zorita got the match started through his kick off. Gabriel-Omar Santirso received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Julio Vera came out and tried to block the shot, but Gabriel-Omar Santirso slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 4th minute. The Arroyito FC fans' excitement grew in the 7th match minute when Arroyito FC's Gabriel-Omar Santirso looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 10 minutes into the match, Arroyito FC's goal looked a bit too open when Agustín Saelices came free, but Carlos Navarro Montoya reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 12thth minute of the game Venancio Etor who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 14th minute, Rene Iratze hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carlos Navarro Montoya made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 18th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Agustín Saelices in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlos Navarro Montoya saved Arroyito FC from getting behind. Miroslav Kvita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a free kick in the 24th minute. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Navarro Montoya made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 35th minute of play. After some careless play in the Arroyito FC defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carlos Navarro Montoya. The Arroyito FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carlos Navarro Montoya should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 39th minute of play forced Arroyito FC's goalkeeper Carlos Navarro Montoya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luis Andino scored 2-2 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Carlos Navarro Montoya, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 42nd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Navarro Montoya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Venancio Etor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carlos Navarro Montoya. Carlos Navarro Montoya dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Disappointed in the 2-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gabriel-Omar Santirso was the one to do the kick off. Basarab Trif charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Basarab Trif the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Basarab Trif hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. In the 55th minute, Daniel Zorita sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Arroyito FC's Carlos Navarro Montoya didn't even have to move. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 60th minute, which Carlos Navarro Montoya however easily saved by the left post. Carlos Navarro Montoya made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felix Montenegro in the 62nd minute. Felix Montenegro might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carlos Navarro Montoya. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felix Montenegro ran back to his position shaking his head. Luis Andino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Carlos Navarro Montoya made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel-Omar Santirso in the 79th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86th minute Gabriel-Omar Santirso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 91 minutes into the match, Felix Montenegro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Carlos Navarro Montoya. Arroyito FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Felix Montenegro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. Arroyito FC's Carlos Navarro Montoya proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Arroyito FC from getting a goal against them. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
