An unexpectedly hard shot by Mirco Kähler in the 54th minute of play forced Sheffield FC1857's goalkeeper Paiboon Permpol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paiboon Permpol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fausto Montel in the 55th minute of the match. 56 minutes into the match, Sheffield FC1857's goal looked a bit too open when Shi Yuan Qi came free, but Paiboon Permpol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Shi Yuan Qi took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paiboon Permpol. Paiboon Permpol dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Rapid Wien made a substitution. Lars Reicher replaced Andreas Olejarz. 72 minutes into the game, Sumethee Kanishthajata was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sheffield FC1857's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rapid Wien the free kick. After 77 minutes Rapid Wien's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sakdipat Klangprapan who took care of the corner kick.
