Kaká Lopes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Gisbert in the 4th minute of the match. Cacá Brodel charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After a defensive mix-up in Jenipapo SC's zone, Francisco Seco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kaká Lopes came out of the goal and Francisco Seco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 11th minute, Cacá Brodel made a precise shot to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Uruguay's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Maximiliano Escribano took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kaká Lopes. Kaká Lopes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 21 minutes into the match, Jenipapo SC's goal looked a bit too open when Maximiliano Escribano came free, but Kaká Lopes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Uruguay booed when Jenipapo SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ediberto Lopes didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Joaquin Gayoso managed to avoid a goal in the 25thth minute, when Jenipapo SC's Leonardo Magalhães fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Eriberto dos Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere. In the 29th minute, Eriberto dos Santos fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Joaquin Gayoso, passed just outside the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 42nd minute of play forced Jenipapo SC's goalkeeper Kaká Lopes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maximiliano Escribano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kaká Lopes having to interfere. After 45 minutes of play, Uruguay's Francisco Seco made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kaká Lopes was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Francisco Seco's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 51stth minute, Kaká Lopes skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With a little luck, Jenipapo SC's Kaká Lopes got control of the ball when Maximiliano Escribano tried to sneak it across the goal line. Percy Lopes's late challenge caught a Uruguay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Percy Lopes helped the player get up and apologised. In the 53rd match minute, Jenipapo SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Percy Lopes to maneuver through the defense. 54 minutes into the match, Francisco Seco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kaká Lopes. Jenipapo SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Francisco Seco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. In the 57th minute Leonardo Magalhães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kaká Lopes came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Uruguay's Maximiliano Escribano. But to his dismay, Maximiliano Escribano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. Kaká Lopes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Gisbert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 71st match minute, Jenipapo SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luan Toscano to maneuver through the defense. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eriberto dos Santos in the 74th minute of play. In the 76th minute Jenipapo SC were awarded a corner. Percy Lopes went to the cornerflag to take it. Jenipapo SC's Percy Lopes was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Joaquin Gayoso in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The throw-in from Percy Lopes in the 84th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 87th minute of play forced Jenipapo SC's goalkeeper Kaká Lopes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Uruguay booed when Jenipapo SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luisão Silveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 90 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Maximiliano Escribano. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Jenipapo SC's goalkeeper Kaká Lopes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Uruguay's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
