Willi Reutter might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Willi Reutter ran back to his position shaking his head. Blau Weiß Sauerland's Uwe Kuhni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 18th minute of play. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Willi Reutter got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alessio Bongartz in the 42nd minute of play. Blau Weiß Sauerland's Uwe Kuhni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 46th minute of play.

The wind increased when Tomas Illescas made the kick off in the second half. In the 56th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Chicote to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Willi Reutter in the 60th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adam Pingel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Blau Weiß Sauerland's Willi Reutter. But to his dismay, Willi Reutter quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. In the 78th minute, Adam Pingel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Alessio Bongartz kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Uwe Kuhni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 83rd minute of the match. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Adam Pingel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 90 minutes had been played when some careless play by Venezuela's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tristan Uschok was slow to take the kick. During this time Blau Weiß Sauerland's players had a chance to rest. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Willi Reutter, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Blau Weiß Sauerland had played much better football throughout.
