Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Alberto Cresencio started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 2nd minute. Damián Martínez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 7 played minutes Oberá got a freekick which was hit by Edgard Valiente. Damián Martínez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristian Sancho kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Alberto Cresencio sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 16th minute of play forced Oberá's goalkeeper Damián Martínez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Damián Martínez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 20 minutes Oberá's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. 20 minutes into the game, Felix Montenegro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Damián Martínez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damián Martínez having to interfere. Damián Martínez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zorita went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Erland Gåsland's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Erland Gåsland helped the player get up and apologised. In the 37th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With an all-out effort, Oberá's Julio Vera threw himself towards the right post 39 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Yao Peng, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Alberto Cresencio came free with the goalkeeper in the 42nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Julio Vera could save by the left post. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damián Martínez having to interfere. Erland Gåsland kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. The Oberá players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 0-3.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. After 66 minutes Oberá's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Cresencio, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Cristian Sancho in the 70thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Damián Martínez, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The attack was good, but when Cristian Sancho in the 70th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. An unexpected shot in the 81st minute by Cristian Sancho got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The corner led to Ecuador's Agustín Saelices getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Octavio Ur kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. 94 minutes into the match, Oberá's goalkeeper Damián Martínez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. In the 95th minute, Agustín Saelices hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Oberá fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
