When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Diguinho Toledo in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 52nd play minutes Daniel Zorita shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Diguinho Toledo and just under the crossbar into goal. Alberto Duarte hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Dínamo São Paulo defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Diguinho Toledo. The Dínamo São Paulo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Diguinho Toledo should have stopped the shot. 84 minutes into the match, Dínamo São Paulo's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Diguinho Toledo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Dínamo São Paulo throughout the match.
