In the 12th minute, Brice Gamble got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matt Sullivan in the 14th minute of play. Staffordshire Terrier FC's Rogelio Espiridion was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dante Lacasa in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alberto Tafalla got free with Clive Holloway in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Staffordshire Terrier FC's Clive Holloway got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 20 played minutes Lautaro Mancebo rounded Staffordshire Terrier FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Yu Jie Xing took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 26 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Yu Jie Xing came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th minute, Joel Gaona made a precise shot to the right of Clive Holloway. Staffordshire Terrier FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. If Luca Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yu Jie Xing might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dante Lacasa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Yu Jie Xing ran back to his position shaking his head. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yu Jie Xing, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Brice Gamble's late challenge caught a Mexico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Brice Gamble helped the player get up and apologised. Joel Gaona's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Clive Holloway read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Clive Holloway showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 59th minute of the match. A sloppy throw-in by Leonardo Leoz in the 66th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Staffordshire Terrier FC's Ferdinando Braccia. After a defensive mix-up in Staffordshire Terrier FC's zone, Lautaro Mancebo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Clive Holloway came out of the goal and Lautaro Mancebo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Staffordshire Terrier FC's Andrew Harrison got a free kick in the 74th minute. Clive Holloway showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. When Staffordshire Terrier FC's Alex Zanardi in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mexico's goalie prevented a goal. In the 87th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. Mexico's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
