Sebastian Villa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 4th minute Jovan Markićević shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edmundo Espiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luka Jaćimović having to interfere. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Moises Tafalla hit a great ball. After 15 minutes, Bogić Tabaković mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the El Pibe Academy and the Honduras players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bogić Tabaković hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Jovan Markićević spun around in front of the goal 18 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Honduras's goal. When Luiđi Raičević came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the El Pibe Academy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luiđi Raičević couldn't finish the play. In the 29th match minute, El Pibe Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bogić Tabaković to maneuver through the defense. After 32 minutes of play, El Pibe Academy's Luiđi Raičević made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lautaro Navarro was left in no man's land by his defense there! When El Pibe Academy's Jovan Markićević in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Honduras's goalie prevented a goal. In the 36th minute, Jovan Markićević got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jovan Markićević recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 43 minutes into the game, El Pibe Academy's Jovan Markićević nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lautaro Navarro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. 47 minutes into the match, El Pibe Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Espiga came free, but Luka Jaćimović reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Maksim Lazarevski made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 52nd minute of play forced El Pibe Academy's goalkeeper Luka Jaćimović to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bogić Tabaković, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maksim Lazarevski, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. When Maksim Lazarevski came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the El Pibe Academy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maksim Lazarevski couldn't finish the play. After 66 played minutes El Pibe Academy got a freekick which was hit by Jovan Markićević. After 94 played minutes El Pibe Academy got a freekick which was hit by Radisav Mikić. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The El Pibe Academy fans cheered their team off the field, for while Honduras had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
