Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. An unexpectedly hard shot by Astor Eguntsenti in the 5th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felix Montenegro received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Anier Urtats came out and tried to block the shot, but Felix Montenegro slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 8th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 11 minutes, Anier Urtats successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severo Larra in the 28th minute of play. With a little luck, C.A. Línea Rotativa's Anier Urtats got control of the ball when Agustín Saelices tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Astor Eguntsenti came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the C.A. Línea Rotativa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Astor Eguntsenti couldn't finish the play. Astor Eguntsenti's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Astor Eguntsenti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Astor Eguntsenti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Astor Eguntsenti's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. C.A. Línea Rotativa were awarded a corner in the 43th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gogo Tancredo took the corner. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Astor Eguntsenti in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Astor Eguntsenti made a kick off. Astor Eguntsenti might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Astor Eguntsenti ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Astor Eguntsenti tried to sneak it across the goal line. Primitivo Andino made in the 54th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Felix Montenegro. Felix Montenegro hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. C.A. Línea Rotativa made a substitution. Ali Asım Kornes replaced Severo Larra. Felix Montenegro kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. C.A. Línea Rotativa's Rolando Pasqual was substituted for Astor Eguntsenti. After a rather tough play, C.A. Línea Rotativa's David Abreu got a free kick in the 68th minute. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Rolando Pasqual sent off a good shot on target. Anier Urtats made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 76th minute of play. When Felix Montenegro came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felix Montenegro couldn't finish the play. Rolando Pasqual could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. In the 81st minute, Rolando Pasqual reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Julio Vera. The goal made the score 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rolando Pasqual in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. After 93 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anier Urtats was left in no man's land by his defense there! 95 minutes into the match, C.A. Línea Rotativa's Rolando Pasqual sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Ecuador had played much better football throughout.
