An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Noboa in the 10th minute of play forced Lokomotiv Julita's goalkeeper Maximilian Nordin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 10 minutes into the match, Eliseo Noboa notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Lokomotiv Julita's Maximilian Nordin. Maximilian Nordin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Axel Tasis in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maximilian Nordin saved Lokomotiv Julita from getting behind. Birger Kjellkvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Birger Kjellkvist's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Aaron Alcocer hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 36th minute Axel Tasis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximilian Nordin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Nils-Åke Västlund fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lokomotiv Julita's protests and gave Nils-Åke Västlund a yellow card for diving instead. In the 37th match minute, Lokomotiv Julita was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nils-Åke Västlund to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Alan Moruga got a free kick in the 39th minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Birger Kjellkvist to make the kick off. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Maximilian Nordin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Tasis, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. The audience was convinced that Birger Kjellkvist's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. The supporters of Lokomotiv Julita booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Moruga didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Peder Finman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abel Carballo charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Abel Carballo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Abel Carballo kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Chants of Costa Rica echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Lokomotiv Julita had held the ball for most of the match.
