Wambasther Özil hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Mariano Lacasa kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Felix Garrido kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Orlando da Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dedé Correia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thiago Pliego read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Dedé Correia took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Thiago Pliego to make any attempt to save it. After 28th play minutes Dedé Correia shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Thiago Pliego and just under the crossbar into goal. Chile's Thiago Pliego proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Chile from getting a goal against them. In a very dangerous position, a player in Chile fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 34th minute. Penalty! Thiago Pliego made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Dedé Correia sent off a good shot on target. In the 38th match minute, Garopaba F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomás Gajardo to maneuver through the defense. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mariano Lacasa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Orlando da Cunha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Felix Garrido charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. With a little luck, Garopaba F.C's Orlando da Cunha got control of the ball when Guillermo Fontirroig tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 86th minute, Mariano Lacasa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Orlando da Cunha was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Garopaba F.C's goalkeeper Orlando da Cunha, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 94 minutes into the match, Garopaba F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Carballar came free, but Orlando da Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
