An unexpectedly hard shot by Roberto Tohias in the 26th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benedicto Lalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvano Harkaitz in the 28th minute of play. With a little luck, DON RAMON 72's Jairo Primeiro got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dante Lacasa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Benedicto Lalla went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 41st minute, Alberto Tafalla reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jairo Primeiro. The goal made the score 1-2. 44 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Silvano Harkaitz came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Benedicto Lalla made a kick off. Dante Lacasa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Fermin Laurendi showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 50 minute of play. Mexico's Joel Gaona got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lautaro Mancebo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jairo Primeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. It was a well-played corner which Alberto Tafalla managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. DON RAMON 72's Jairo Primeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 71st minute of play. Jairo Primeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Mancebo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alberto Tafalla blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jairo Primeiro having to make a save. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jairo Primeiro having to interfere.
