Cristián Señoret's late challenge caught a USA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marco Day stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Natanael Ceresso's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. 44 minutes into the match, USA's goal looked a bit too open when Eusébio Angelsø came free, but Marco Day reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the USA players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
