The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. PS Gurame Bakar's Fiz Artealde proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save PS Gurame Bakar from getting a goal against them. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dimitri De Rijck in the 7th minute of play. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dimitri De Rijck in the 9th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, PS Gurame Bakar's Dimitri De Rijck sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Fiz Artealde in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dimitri De Rijck blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. Fiz Artealde made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 21st minute. 26 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Dimitri De Rijck came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 47 minutes, Jan Kemper mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the PS Gurame Bakar and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, PS Gurame Bakar's Jan Kemper got a free kick in the 47th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the game, Primitivo Andino threw the ball into play from the sideline. PS Gurame Bakar's Delmar Obeko quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 62nd minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Fiz Artealde. PS Gurame Bakar's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Fiz Artealde stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristian Sancho's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. The Ecuador fans' excitement grew in the 70th match minute when Ecuador's Cristian Sancho looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. PS Gurame Bakar made a substitution. Yudi Nahumarury replaced Vito Mazza. After 75 minutes, Daniel Zorita made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. PS Gurame Bakar's Fiz Artealde tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Fiz Artealde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 81st minute of play forced PS Gurame Bakar's goalkeeper Fiz Artealde to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 82nd minute, Primitivo Andino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tono Ekodono sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 85th minute Tono Ekodono shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Sancho took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fiz Artealde. Fiz Artealde dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Zorita in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fiz Artealde saved PS Gurame Bakar from getting behind. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Ecuador fully deserved thier win.
