After 21 played minutes Racing Club got a freekick which was hit by Ramiro Lano. In the 23rdth minute of the game Monty Rogers who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Racing Club's Cornelio Cordearo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Diego Bradley kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Cornelio Cordearo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Mcdonald in the 29th minute of the match. Marco Day didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luciano Pirro went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Cornelio Cordearo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edward Mcdonald, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Cornelio Cordearo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Monty Rogers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marco Day made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Luciano Pirro sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Miroslaw Jajecznica during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cornelio Cordearo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cassius Byrne in the 47th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

51 minutes into the match, Cassius Byrne dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cornelio Cordearo, 1-1. Cornelio Cordearo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edward Mcdonald in the 55th minute. 61 minutes into the game, Luciano Pirro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Marco Day was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Racing Club's Homer Field was substituted for Efmamjjasond Bronco. Cornelio Cordearo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cassius Byrne in the 65th minute of the match. Marco Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Epifanio Txomin in the 69th minute of the match. After some careless play in the USA defense, Homer Field kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marco Day. The USA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marco Day should have stopped the shot. Marco Day stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Epifanio Txomin's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Monty Rogers in the 80th minute of play forced Racing Club's goalkeeper Cornelio Cordearo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. USA's Khalid Parry was substituted for Monty Rogers. USA made a substitution. Marco Baker replaced Edward Mcdonald. In the 87th minute Epifanio Txomin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Day saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 92 minutes into the match, USA's goal looked a bit too open when Homer Field came free, but Marco Day reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 95 minutes into the match, USA's goal looked a bit too open when Ramiro Lano came free, but Marco Day reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind USA's goalkeeper Marco Day, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Racing Club players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
