Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Honduras's Edmundo Espiga started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A sloppy throw-in by Pedro Gudesteo in the 4th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Honduras's Luca Espinar. 11 minutes into the match, Felix Pascua dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Lautaro Navarro, 1-0. In the 15thth minute of the game Victor Peres who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Honduras's Lautaro Navarro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Joel Caton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Espiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Loja S.C. getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Justavino Centeno hit a great ball. Sebastian Villa scored 2-1 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joel Caton, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lautaro Navarro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Victor Peres in the 30th minute. Joel Caton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Espiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alonzo Gipils recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Victor Peres could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Lautaro Navarro made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Felix Pascua managed to get in a good position for a shot. Loja S.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Felix Pascua was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lautaro Navarro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Felix Pascua stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Loja S.C.'s zone, Moises Tafalla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joel Caton came out of the goal and Moises Tafalla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Honduras's Edmundo Espiga in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Loja S.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. 67 minutes into the match, Honduras's Sebastian Villa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joel Caton narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Sebastian Villa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Honduras's supporters rose to their feet, but Sebastian Villa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joel Caton breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Loja S.C. made a substitution. Hidalgo Gallegos replaced Justavino Centeno. 73 minutes into the game, Loja S.C.'s Victor Peres nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lautaro Navarro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Lautaro Navarro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Victor Peres went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. The Loja S.C. fans' excitement grew in the 86th match minute when Loja S.C.'s Victor Peres looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 90 minutes into the match, Loja S.C.'s goalkeeper Joel Caton had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edmundo Espiga. 92 minutes into the game, Fabricio Vedeja cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-1. Lautaro Navarro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Hidalgo Gallegos's late challenge caught a Honduras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hidalgo Gallegos helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Loja S.C.'s Hidalgo Gallegos got a free kick in the 95th minute. Honduras's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
