After 19 played minutes El Kiwy Mecanico got a freekick which was hit by 杜烨川. 26 minutes into the match, El Kiwy Mecanico's goal looked a bit too open when Romon Oliver came free, but Hermelando Rey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. El Kiwy Mecanico's 杜烨川 quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Wayan Freeman, made in the 30th minute of the game. The supporters of Jamaica booed when El Kiwy Mecanico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rubén Griego didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Jarell Hill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Finlay Stair made the kick off in the second half. Demonde Jacobson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 75 minutes, Kordal Duff mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jamaica and the El Kiwy Mecanico players grew even worse after the yellow card. Kordal Duff kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. El Kiwy Mecanico's Hermelando Rey proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save El Kiwy Mecanico from getting a goal against them. With an all-out effort, Jamaica's Hermelando Rey threw himself towards the right post 83 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Karlus Waugh, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 84 minutes had been played when some careless play by El Kiwy Mecanico's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Finlay Stair was slow to take the kick. During this time Jamaica's players had a chance to rest. A collision led to El Kiwy Mecanico getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Juan-Alfredo Vuelta hit a great ball. When Finlay Stair fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jamaica's protests and gave Finlay Stair a yellow card for diving instead. The referee felt a red card was in order, 93 minutes into the game, when Rubén Griego put in a rough tackle. The supporters of Jamaica booed when El Kiwy Mecanico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rubén Griego didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 95th minute, Jamaica's Karlus Waugh ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Hermelando Rey. Hermelando Rey yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Jamaica eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
