Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ercole Marcon got the match started through his kick off. When the match had gone on for 7 minutes, Safy Belfaa took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Benito Sanz to make any attempt to save it. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Atletico Van Goof was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniele Di Croce didn't get a good kick on the ball. Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 19 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ercole Marcon. Safy Belfaa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Daniele Di Croce stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Daniele Di Croce tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Atletico Van Goof's Alberto Di Placido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Tasis in the 24th minute of play. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Ercole Marcon tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alberto Di Placido came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa. But to his dismay, Eliseo Noboa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Tasis in the 31st minute of play forced Atletico Van Goof's goalkeeper Alberto Di Placido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ercole Marcon went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ercole Marcon went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Lautaro Puig took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alberto Di Placido. Alberto Di Placido dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-2 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Axel Tasis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Alessandro Bonfigli fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atletico Van Goof's protests and gave Alessandro Bonfigli a yellow card for diving instead. After 53 played minutes, Costa Rica's Axel Tasis shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alberto Di Placido came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Costa Rica reached it. Daniele Di Croce recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ercole Marcon kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. In the 60th minute, Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alberto Di Placido. Alberto Di Placido yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-3. In the 69th minute of the match, Axel Tasis tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Alberto Di Placido saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 71st minute, Eliseo Noboa reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Alberto Di Placido. The goal made the score 4-4. After 75 minutes, Lautaro Puig mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the Atletico Van Goof players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 75th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lautaro Puig to maneuver through the defense. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ercole Marcon in the 77th minute of play. In the 80thth minute of the game Ercole Marcon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 85 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Ercole Marcon came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eliseo Noboa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Alberto Di Placido tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Safy Belfaa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. Costa Rica succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Atletico Van Goof had controlled the match.
