Alberto Tafalla could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Victor Vulpăşin made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Flavio Figueroa during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla got a free kick in the 15th minute. Victor Vulpăşin made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. Victor Vulpăşin was out of position in the 27 minute of play, and Lautaro Mancebo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lautaro Mancebo really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. Real Còrdoba FC's Victor Vulpăşin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 31st minute of play. In the 32nd minute Anibal Cordeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 최 명, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Victor Vulpăşin made a huge save. Anibal Cordeiro took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joel Gaona made a kick off. After having played for 62 minutes, Anibal Cordeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Còrdoba FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anibal Cordeiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lorenzo Cazalla hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Matias Montes during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 68 played minutes Real Còrdoba FC got a freekick which was hit by Matias Montes. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Victor Vulpăşin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 71st minute of play. Victor Vulpăşin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. 77 minutes into the game, Claudio Piris was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Real Còrdoba FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mexico the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 76th minute of the game. One of Real Còrdoba FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Mexico:s goal. Victor Vulpăşin had in the 79thth minute some difficulties stopping Joel Gaona's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 85th minute of play forced Real Còrdoba FC's goalkeeper Victor Vulpăşin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Vulpăşin having to interfere. After 94 minutes of play, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Victor Vulpăşin was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alberto Tafalla charged in rather forcefully in the 97th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alberto Tafalla the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 97 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Tafalla. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 99th minute. Victor Vulpăşin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Mexico had won after a very even match.
