Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Cléber Catarinense kicked off to start the match. A collision led to Sport Club Abrilense getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Jens-Erik Lindblom hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Lautaro Mancebo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leopoldo Dominix breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leopoldo Dominix made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 7th minute of play. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tobias Felo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severino Bruggink in the 10th minute of play. Leopoldo Dominix showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tobias Felo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Enol in the 25th minute of play. The supporters of Mexico booed when Sport Club Abrilense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leandro Luix didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leopoldo Dominix made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 33rd minute of play. After 34 minutes of play, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leopoldo Dominix was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dan Rüdy struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Dante Lacasa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sport Club Abrilense. 40 minutes into the game, Mexico's Joel Gaona nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leopoldo Dominix made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Leopoldo Dominix made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 43rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Sport Club Abrilense's Mariano Enol got a free kick in the 46th minute. After the first half Mexico were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The supporters of Mexico booed when Sport Club Abrilense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florian Zawadzki didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joel Gaona's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leopoldo Dominix read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. Leopoldo Dominix made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luca Zorita in the 55th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Tobias Felo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dante Lacasa was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. Through an outstanding action, after 63 minutes, Leopoldo Dominix successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 65 minutes into the match, Joel Gaona had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leopoldo Dominix. Sport Club Abrilense's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joel Gaona was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. 69 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Israel Edorta came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Florian Zawadzki hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. In the 76th minute Tobias Felo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jens-Erik Lindblom hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Sport Club Abrilense's zone, Joel Gaona stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leopoldo Dominix came out of the goal and Joel Gaona tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dante Lacasa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from German Estevez went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Through an outstanding action, after 87 minutes, Leopoldo Dominix successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Mexico eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
