Pete Luna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Egil Nyman kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. In the 28th minute, Luz Tejedor got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 33 minutes into the match, Joga Hem FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Mina came free, but Pete Luna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute Peru were awarded a corner. Luz Tejedor went to the cornerflag to take it. The wind increased when Urban Wennerquist made the kick off in the second half. Pete Luna made an important save on a dangerous shot by Julian Murillo in the 51st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Julian Murillo in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pete Luna prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Urban Wennerquist, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Julian Murillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pete Luna having to interfere. Joga Hem FC made a substitution. Bennvar Byth replaced Charles da Silva. The supporters of Peru booed when Joga Hem FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position.
