When Sebbe Peers fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Les Bistouquettes Bleues's protests and gave Sebbe Peers a yellow card for diving instead. In the 10th match minute, Les Bistouquettes Bleues was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebbe Peers to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Nico Van Doren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Nico Van Doren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 17 minutes into the game, Gustaaf Visch threw the ball into play from the sideline. Venezuela's Jose Correa quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fransesco De Mol. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nico Van Doren, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. When Laurent Van Leemput fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Les Bistouquettes Bleues's protests and gave Laurent Van Leemput a yellow card for diving instead. Laurent Van Leemput kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. 23 minutes into the match, Les Bistouquettes Bleues's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Costa came free, but Fransesco De Mol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fransesco De Mol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 30th minute of the match. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastien Westelinx in the 33rd minute of play. Les Bistouquettes Bleues's Fransesco De Mol proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Les Bistouquettes Bleues from getting a goal against them. In the 48th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nico Van Doren made a kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Les Bistouquettes Bleues's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Fransesco De Mol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sebbe Peers kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. In the 61st minute, Tomas Illescas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fransesco De Mol was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After having played for 63 minutes, Nico Van Doren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Les Bistouquettes Bleues's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nico Van Doren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 66 minutes into the match, Les Bistouquettes Bleues's Brent Schuts sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sebastien Westelinx sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gustaaf Visch hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. 70 minutes into the match, Salvador Gisbert notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Les Bistouquettes Bleues's Fransesco De Mol. Fransesco De Mol was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 73rd minute, Patricio Costa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fransesco De Mol was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fransesco De Mol having to make a save. After 78 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Costa. 82 minutes into the match, Tomas Illescas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fransesco De Mol. Les Bistouquettes Bleues's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomas Illescas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Patricio Costa hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. In the 89th minute, Brent Schuts reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. The goal made the score 4-1. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Venezuela were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Les Bistouquettes Bleues for a fine match.
