The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Haritz Lillo took the kick off in the first half of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 3 minutes, Anibal Abastas successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Alvino España managed to get in a good position for a shot. Argentino FC TOZEO's supporters rose to their feet, but Alvino España was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquin Gayoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Haritz Lillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anibal Abastas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximiliano Escribano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Alvino España came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Argentino FC TOZEO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alvino España couldn't finish the play. In the 17th minute Haritz Lillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joaquin Gayoso came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Argentino FC TOZEO's Alvino España. But to his dismay, Alvino España quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 25 played minutes Argentino FC TOZEO got a freekick which was hit by Marcelino Torrent. Argentino FC TOZEO's Anibal Abastas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Argentino FC TOZEO from getting a goal against them. Argentino FC TOZEO's Anibal Abastas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Seco in the 29th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Daniel Roig during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Uruguay booed when Argentino FC TOZEO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Roig didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Haritz Lillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Maximiliano Escribano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Uruguay's supporters rose to their feet, but Maximiliano Escribano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anibal Abastas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 39 minutes into the match, Argentino FC TOZEO's goalkeeper Anibal Abastas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francisco Seco. After a rather tough play, Argentino FC TOZEO's Daniel Roig got a free kick in the 43rd minute. When Jaime Cazalla came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Uruguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaime Cazalla couldn't finish the play. After 46 minutes, Camilo Covarrubias mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Uruguay and the Argentino FC TOZEO players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 45th minute of the game. One of Uruguay:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Argentino FC TOZEO:s goal. Uruguay:s Joaquin Gayoso showed great skill when he stopped Haritz Lillo:s penalty. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Francisco Seco was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute Jaime Cazalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anibal Abastas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 52nd minute Uruguay were awarded a corner. Jaime Cazalla went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 53rd match minute, Argentino FC TOZEO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elixio Campomanes to maneuver through the defense. Haritz Lillo kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. In the 59th match minute, Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Gisbert to maneuver through the defense. Argentino FC TOZEO's Anibal Abastas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 62nd minute of play. After 62 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Beldad. The supporters of Argentino FC TOZEO booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruno Beldad didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anibal Abastas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Jaime Cazalla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 79 minutes of play, Argentino FC TOZEO's Haritz Lillo made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joaquin Gayoso was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 81stth minute of the game Elixio Campomanes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 83rd minute Elixio Campomanes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot 85 in the game by Haritz Lillo from a close distance when the talented Joaquin Gayoso managed to make a qualified save. Uruguay's players were relieved. Elixio Campomanes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Macedonio Urquijo made in the 92nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Uruguay lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
