AC Sarsaparilla's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tomas Illescas ran over to the corner to take the kick. Venezuela's Rigoberto Mina was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Taavi Hulkkonen in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 72nd minute of play forced AC Sarsaparilla's goalkeeper Taavi Hulkkonen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juha-Pekka Glad scored 0-5 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
