Marco Day made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ianis Man in the 5th minute. Octavian Soare made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cassius Byrne in the 7th minute of play. Octavian Soare took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Mcdonald, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marco Day stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Claudiu Manolescu's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. With his leg Marco Day managed to avoid a goal in the 13thth minute, when Galati Harbour Cats's Shi Li fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. USA's Marco Day proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save USA from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ianis Man in the 25th minute of play forced USA's goalkeeper Marco Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gheorghe Ducu kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Octavian Soare showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Mcdonald in the 27th minute of the match. Jenson Smith went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Marco Baker got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Octavian Soare quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 91st minute Khalid Parry shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octavian Soare saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Khalid Parry in the 94th minute of play forced Galati Harbour Cats's goalkeeper Octavian Soare to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. USA were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
