Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luo Ke Xiang in the 2nd minute of play. In the 2nd minute, Luo Ke Xiang ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alcides Niedermayer during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Yeşilköyspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alcides Niedermayer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Acun Tandan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 7th minute of the match. In the 14th minute, Yeşilköyspor's Alcides Niedermayer seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Alcides Niedermayer the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Yeşilköyspor protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Alcides Niedermayer had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Yeşilköyspor fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 14th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Ecuador a penalty, 16 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Daniel Zorita, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Yeşilköyspor's Acun Tandan. 1-1. Acun Tandan came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 28th minute of play forced Yeşilköyspor's goalkeeper Acun Tandan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Zorita in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Acun Tandan saved Yeşilköyspor from getting behind. Yeşilköyspor's Luo Ke Xiang got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpected shot in the 40th minute by Luo Ke Xiang got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 43 minutes into the match, Yeşilköyspor's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Acun Tandan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luo Ke Xiang was the one to do the kick off. Hayyam Haymanalı hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Daniel Zorita shot from long distance in the 55th minute, but Acun Tandan was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Yeşilköyspor's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Acun Tandan came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Yeşilköyspor booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agustín Saelices didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 66th minute, Atalan Temizel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Acun Tandan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Acun Tandan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Acun Tandan made a huge save. Acun Tandan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a free kick in the 81st minute. Agustín Saelices could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Acun Tandan made a huge save. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luo Ke Xiang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 87 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Acun Tandan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 88 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Agustín Saelices. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Agustín Saelices during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Agustín Saelices hit a great ball. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
