Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mario-Nicasio Zanabria started the match with the kick off. Donald Lockby made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 4th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 6 minutes, Jonathan Ferrant successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 14th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donald Lockby saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Karsten Plougsgaard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. Donald Lockby stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Illescas's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. Henning Føltved could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Karsten Plougsgaard received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jonathan Ferrant came out and tried to block the shot, but Karsten Plougsgaard slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 36th minute. In the 44th minute of the match Vikings of Dania got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Absalon Skovsdal ran over to the corner to take the kick. Absalon Skovsdal's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Absalon Skovsdal helped the player get up and apologised. After 46 played minutes Vikings of Dania got a freekick which was hit by Absalon Skovsdal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute of the match, Tomas Illescas got a very nice opportunity to score, but Donald Lockby was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 53rd minute, Tomas Illescas made a precise shot to the right of Donald Lockby. Vikings of Dania's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Vikings of Dania was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Absalon Skovsdal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Donald Lockby showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Donald Lockby tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 63 minutes into the match, Tomas Illescas dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Donald Lockby, 1-2. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Rigoberto Mina hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Klaus Arthury during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Vikings of Dania's Klaus Arthury got a free kick in the 90th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Venezuela eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
