Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) White Hart Lane's Bertil Ekman started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Ecuador's Daniel Zorita in the 6th minute got a chance for a shot 6th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye White Hart Lane's goalie prevented a goal. Oskar Beckström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 10 minutes into the match, White Hart Lane's goal looked a bit too open when Agustín Saelices came free, but Oskar Beckström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olle Ekström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oskar Beckström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. 15 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Oskar Beckström made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The supporters of White Hart Lane booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agustín Saelices didn't get a good kick on the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 20 minutes, Julio Vera successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Oskar Beckström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 21st minute of play. 22 minutes had been played when some careless play by White Hart Lane's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Dick Wennerberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dick Wennerberg ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 28th minute, Daniel Zorita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 31 minutes into the match, White Hart Lane's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Oskar Beckström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. White Hart Lane's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Christer Stor in the 34th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 37th minute of play forced White Hart Lane's goalkeeper Oskar Beckström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bertil Ekman in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Oskar Beckström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 43rd minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Christer Stor hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. 57 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Oskar Beckström narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Oskar Beckström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lennart Blomquist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 68th minute, Daniel Zorita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oskar Beckström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 70th minute of the match. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bertil Ekman's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Luis Andino took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Oskar Beckström to make any attempt to save it. In the 81st minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but Oskar Beckström was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Oskar Beckström was out of position in the 83 minute of play, and Cristian Sancho capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cristian Sancho really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. After 86 played minutes White Hart Lane got a freekick which was hit by Lennart Blomquist. After a rather tough play, White Hart Lane's Kenneth Söderqvist got a free kick in the 90th minute. Felix Montenegro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Oskar Beckström made a huge save. If Luz Palacio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
