Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jarūnas Sidabras in the 7th minute of the match. FC Druskininkai's 梅超浩 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 11th minute of play. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 梅超浩 having to interfere. Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. Luca Rouco kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Beržas Dirmeikis got free with Dante Lacasa in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mexico's Facundo Cadaval got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 21st match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luca Zorita to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Iigo Conchas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dante Lacasa was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. After some careless play in the FC Druskininkai defense, Joel Gaona kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of 梅超浩. The FC Druskininkai fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that 梅超浩 should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Druskininkai's Beržas Dirmeikis slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dante Lacasa. That made the score 1-1 after 33 minutes of play. 梅超浩 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Erlandas Bačkys tried to sneak it across the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 51st minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 梅超浩 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 54th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. FC Druskininkai's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Mexico's corner Luca Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and 梅超浩 quite easily take care of the ball. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Facundo Cadaval got a free kick in the 55th minute. When Felix Luque fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mexico's protests and gave Felix Luque a yellow card for diving instead. In the 60th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Luque to maneuver through the defense. After 60 played minutes, FC Druskininkai's 蒋思弘 shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dante Lacasa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iigo Conchas in the 79th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Lautaro Mancebo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. 梅超浩 breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 91 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Luca Zorita. The FC Druskininkai fans' excitement grew in the 95th match minute when FC Druskininkai's Iigo Conchas looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Mexico players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
