REM ARENA
Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0)
The mood of the audience was pleasant when Thodoris Vrotsos made the kick off which started today's match. 5 minutes into the match, Thodoris Vrotsos notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso. Joaquin Gayoso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 8th minute, Jorge Sainz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Panos Pitsikoulakis managed to get in a good position for a shot. REMALIA's supporters rose to their feet, but Panos Pitsikoulakis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquin Gayoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 15th minute, Camilo Franco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Nontas Asimopoulos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Francisco Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Uruguay's supporters rose to their feet, but Francisco Seco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kleanthis Savouridis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of REMALIA booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arturo Carvallo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 28th minute Uruguay were awarded a corner. Jaime Cazalla went to the cornerflag to take it. Panos Pitsikoulakis made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 30thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Joaquin Gayoso would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Pavlos Sotirakis took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joaquin Gayoso. Joaquin Gayoso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 35th minute Maximiliano Escribano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kleanthis Savouridis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to REMALIA getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Viktoras Giannikakis hit a great ball. Francisco Seco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 39 minutes into the game, Damaso Aires was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. REMALIA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Uruguay the free kick. After 39 played minutes REMALIA got a freekick which was hit by Damaso Aires. The audience thought a goal was coming when Thodoris Vrotsos got free with Joaquin Gayoso in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. REMALIA were awarded a corner in the 43th minute after Uruguay's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Panos Pitsikoulakis took the corner. The corner ended in Panos Pitsikoulakis almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso did a great save. Jaime Cazalla hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Panos Pitsikoulakis from long distance, 45 minutes into the match, got Joaquin Gayoso's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Francisco Seco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Kleanthis Savouridis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximiliano Escribano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 60 minutes into the match, REMALIA's goalkeeper Kleanthis Savouridis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francisco Seco. In the 61st match minute, REMALIA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giannis Kazantzakis to maneuver through the defense. In the 62nd match minute, Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Gisbert to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nontas Asimopoulos in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquin Gayoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tasos Tevekelis in the 69th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Fotis Ikonomou in the 71st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert. After some careless play in the Uruguay defense, Nontas Asimopoulos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. The Uruguay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joaquin Gayoso should have stopped the shot. An unexpected shot in the 78th minute by Maximiliano Escribano got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 81 minutes into the match, REMALIA's goalkeeper Kleanthis Savouridis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francisco Seco. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nontas Asimopoulos in the 86th minute of the match. Thodoris Vrotsos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Joaquin Gayoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Viktoras Giannikakis hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. 93 minutes into the game, Francisco Seco recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Kleanthis Savouridis. Francisco Seco showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. For all the effort they put into the match, the Uruguay players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for REMALIA.
