All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 66 minutes into the match, Gláuber Ramalho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gláuber Ramalho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Severino Azevedo in the 70th minute. 74 minutes into the match, Leão de Judá's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Charlie Hennenberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leão de Judá's João Carlos Soeiro suffered a concussion in the 76th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. 76 minutes into the game, Jonathan Venegas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Leão de Judá the free kick. Leão de Judá's Hildeberto Teles was substituted for João Carlos Soeiro. Jonathan Venegas hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. 85 minutes into the game, Gláuber Ramalho recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. Gláuber Ramalho showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. In the 94th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. Patricio Costa's late challenge caught a Leão de Judá's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Patricio Costa helped the player get up and apologised. In the 97th minute, Patricio Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Venezuela fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Leão de Judá were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
