Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carlos Augusto Vasconcelos went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After 9 played minutes Fielzão got a freekick which was hit by Rogério Negri. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Augusto Vasconcelos in the 11th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Carlos Eduardo Aparecido tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Illescas in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlos Eduardo Aparecido saved Fielzão from getting behind. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Augusto Vasconcelos in the 23rd minute of the match. Camilo Gaos hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. After 35 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Carlos Augusto Vasconcelos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fielzão's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Augusto Vasconcelos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 38th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Eduardo Aparecido saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 40 minutes into the game, Carlos Augusto Vasconcelos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 44 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Augusto Vasconcelos came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. 3-0 became the score in the 48th minute when Carlos Augusto Vasconcelos elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Carlos Augusto Vasconcelos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arvid Treiner struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fielzão. 62 minutes into the match, Fielzão's goalkeeper Carlos Eduardo Aparecido had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. In the 66th minute, Arvid Treiner left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fielzão fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Fielzão made a substitution. Ciro de Alcântara replaced Afonsinho Zonta. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alex Chicote during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 82nd minute, Alex Chicote hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carlos Augusto Vasconcelos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Douglas Vides had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Camilo Gaos got a free kick in the 94th minute. Arvid Treiner took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 95th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Fielzão's Ciro de Alcântara quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Alex Chicote, made in the 97th minute of the game.
